We believe everyone deserves a great day out
Your Day Out was founded on a simple idea — that getting out, connecting with others, and enjoying life shouldn't be out of reach for anyone.
Our mission
We organise safe, fun, and meaningful community outings for people of all abilities across Melbourne. From bowling and movies to nature walks and markets, we create experiences that build confidence, friendships, and lasting memories.
What we stand for
Inclusion
Every activity is designed to be welcoming and accessible for all abilities. No one is left behind.
Connection
We believe in the power of community. Our outings bring people together and forge genuine friendships.
Fun
Life is meant to be enjoyed. We put smiles first — every outing is packed with laughter and good vibes.
Safety
Our experienced support workers ensure every participant feels safe, supported, and cared for throughout the day.
The people behind your day out
Your Day Out is a family business, run with heart by Sonja and Archie — two coordinators who share a deep belief that everyone deserves to feel included, valued, and genuinely looked after.
We created Your Day Out because we saw firsthand how isolating life can become for people with disability when meaningful social connection is out of reach. We wanted to change that — not with a corporate program, but with real outings, real friendships, and real care. Every activity we run is something we'd want to do ourselves, and we're proud to be there alongside our participants every step of the way.
Groups designed around you
We believe the best experiences happen when people feel genuinely comfortable with those around them. That's why we run separate groups tailored to both support needs and age — so every participant is with people at a similar stage of life, with a similar level of support.
Support levels
We run dedicated groups for participants on Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 support plans. Each group is staffed and paced to match the needs of its participants — no one is stretched beyond their comfort zone, and no one is held back.
Age groups
Our activities are split into two age brackets — 18 to 23, and 24 to 29. Keeping groups close in age means shared interests, easier conversation, and friendships that actually stick.
Not sure which group is right for you? Get in touch and we'll help you find the perfect fit.
